Muslims for Life, a blood drive to honor the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, is planned for three Broward County locations.
It’s part of a nationwide campaign by Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMC) to collect 10,000 units of blood around the time of the attacks’ 10th anniversary.
Donors can register at www.amcmiami.info.
The blood drives will take place:
• Sept. 8, 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m.: Holy Cross Hospital, 4725 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale;
• Sept. 9, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.: Hallandale Beach Cultural
Center, 410 SE Third St., Hallandale Beach;
• Sept. 11, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Yellow Green Farmers Market, 1940 N. 30th Rd., Hollywood.
