Ghana: GBC Donates to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission

The GBC team called on the Mission to pray for the Corporation’s progress and development, and for an improvement over the successes it had chalked over the years.

Accra, July 30, GNA - The Ghana Broadcasting Cooperation (GBC) as part of activities to mark its 75th Anniversary celebrations, donated GH¢ 100 to the Ahmadiyya Mission on Friday at the Mission’s Osu Headquarters in Accra.

The GBC team called on the Mission to pray for the Corporation’s progress and development, and for an improvement over the successes it had chalked over the years.

The team also stated that the donation was an indication of the station’s wish to strengthen the good relations that existed between the Mission and GBC.


A member of the team who made the domination on behalf of the Director and entire management of GBC, said it was meant to support the programmes of the Mission, especially as they approached the month of Ramadan.

“GBC also wishes to congratulate the Mission for its support over the past years and to ask for the usual cooperation in the years ahead.”

The Deputy Ameer of the Mission, Maulvi Yusif Yawson who received the donation on behalf of Maulvi Wahab Adam, the Ameer and Missionary in charge, and the entire Ahmadiyya Mission, urged Government to offer special assistance to GBC to enable the Corporation to continue the good services it was rendering to the nation.

“We wish you a happy Anniversary celebration and many happy returns   It is our humble prayer that God will confer his favour on the station. and make it continue to deliver and serve the society as its subsistence is crucial for the development of the nation,” he stated.
